The Bishop has announced that Deacon Moses Justin Tucker will be ordained to the sacred priesthood on Monday March 10th at 7:30 PM at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. In connection with Deacon Justin’s ordination we will cancelling the Men’s Service Club meeting that evening so people can attend his ordination
Canadian Bible Society Annual Dinner and Celebration of the release of the new Inuktitut Translation will be held at St. Teresa’s Parish Hall on Mundy Pond Road, Thursday, April 10th, 2008 at 7:00 PM. Tickets and more information will be available in March.

SHALLAWAY
Newfoundland and Labrador Youth in Chorus presents A Concert of This Place at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 16th, 2008 at Cochrane Street United Church. Shallaway’s Concert of This Place will be a treat for all who cherish the folk culture of Newfoundland and Labrador. Along with the children and youth ensembles of Shallaway celebrating with familiar songs of our heritage, there will be special guests with a range of styles, celebrating the talent of our province. Guests include Anita Best, The STEP Fiddlers and the Shallaway Fiddlers.
The ACW will be having a bake sale next Sunday (Palm Sunday) after the Church service. This is their lenten project and a portion of the proceeds will go to the ministry to the children at the school for the deaf. Contributions of baked goods for the congregations would be very much appreciated
The Altar guild will be meeting next Saturday at 10:30 AM in the Church to make the Palm crosses. This time of cross making is open to all Parishioners young and old, so why not come along and learn how to make these crosses.

There is a sign up list if you wish to give a new hymn book in memory of a loved one at Easter. The cost of the book is $20.00 and if you are interested if you could sign up by Monday March 17th it would be greatly appreciated.
There is a sign up sheet if you have any hidden musical talent and would like to sign or play in church on an occasional basis, as always you are invited to join the choir and make it a more regular occurrence.
