We are now into the second year of paying off the loan which we acquired to do the $50,000.00 worth of work on the church last year.  We still need to raise approximately $25,000.00 to pay off the rest of the loan.  If you have not yet given to help with this expense, please consider a donation. If you have already pledged and given, we thank you most warmly.

 Sing Us Across the Sea - A Gala Choral Concert    On Saturday, February 2nd at 8:00 pm at Holy Heart of Mary Auditorium, you have a one-time only chance to see all six choirs in a single  gala fund raising concert! "Sing Us Across The Sea" will feature none other than Les Ms., Newman Sound Men's Choir, Shallaway -  Newfoundland and Labrador Youth in Chorus, Lady Cove Women's Choir, Cantus Vocum Chamber Choir and the Holy Heart Alumni Choir. Tickets are $20 and are available at Auntie Crae's, Belbin's Grocery, Provincial Music, from choir members and at the door. That's "Sing Us Across The Sea", Saturday, February 2nd at 8:00 at Holy Heart of Mary Auditorium.

The World Day of Prayer service in usually held in early March, as always there is a need for an ecumenical choir.  The first practise is today at 2:00 PM at St. Thomas of Villa Nova Parish.  If you are interested and need more information please call Carol Gibbons at 834-8046.

SHROVE TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2008 SUPPER

The ACW will be hosting a Shrove Tuesday supper on February 5^th starting at 5:30 p.m. The meal will consist of baked beans, sausages, bologna, a roll with pancakes and strawberry topping for dessert with tea or coffee.  The cost is $6.00

CARD GAME

The card game will be at 8:00 p.m.  Please bring your own cards.  A lunch of sandwiches and cookies with tea or coffee will be provided after the card game.  The cost is $5.00.

PRIZES

There will be prizes for the 1^s,t ,2^nd ,and 3^rd place as well as for the Ace of Hearts and  Booby.

FOOD BANK DONATIONS

Two boxes will be placed in the meeting room off the kitchen to accept donations for the grocery hamper and/or household hamper.  If any member of the congregation can get a donation of an item for any type of prize or ticket spin it would be greatly appreciated.
