We welcome this morning in the Sacrament of Baptism as the newest members of Christ Holy Catholic Church Scott Lee Winter, Joel Calvin Kelly and Zachary James Young.

 

There is a sign up sheet on the table at the back of the church for those who wish to donate the bulletin.  This list is up to the end of March.  Please sign up if you’re interested in donating the bulletin

 

We are now into the second year of paying off the loan which we acquired to do the $50,000.00 worth of work on the church last year.  We still need to raise approximately $25,000.00 to pay off the rest of the loan.  If you have not yet given to help with this expense, please consider a donation. If you have already pledged and given, we thank you most warmly.

 

All leaders and Heads of Organizations in the Parish are reminded that Reports for the Annual Meeting are due today.

 

DAMA General Meeting to be held at St. Philip’s Parish Hall, St. Philip’s on Sunday, February 3, 2008 beginning with Dinner at 5:00 p.m.  Followed  by a short meeting and worship service at 6:30 PM

 

The Vestry will meet tomorrow evening at 7:30 PM in the Boardroom; the minutes, agenda & financial statements were emailed out on Friday past.  If you cannot attend please let Father Shawn know.

 

The Diocesan Resource Centre 19 King’s Bridge Road After Giftware, Books, Music & Boxed Cards 50% OFF January 14-31st, 2008 Monday -Friday---10.00am -4:30pm (Closed 12:30-1:30 daily for lunch).

 

There will be a service for the renewal of Ordination vows and re-licencing of clergy to be held tomorrow at the Cathedral.  The service will be at 2:00 PM in the afternoon if you are interested in attending. 

 

SHROVE TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2008 SUPPER

The ACW will be hosting a Shrove Tuesday supper on February 5th starting at 5:30 p.m. The meal will consist of baked beans, sausages, bologna, a roll with pancakes and strawberry topping for dessert with tea or coffee.  The cost is $6.00

 

CARD GAME 

The card game will be at 8:00 p.m.  Please bring your own cards.  A lunch of sandwiches and cookies with tea or coffee will be provided after the card game.  The cost is $5.00.

 

PRIZES 

There will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd ,and 3rd place as well as for the Ace of Hearts and  Booby.

 

FOOD BANK DONATIONS

Two boxes will be placed in the meeting room off the kitchen to accept donations for the grocery hamper and/or household hamper.  If any member of the congregation can get a donation of an item for any type of prize or ticket spin it would be greatly appreciated.
