The C.L.B.
The C.L.B. is an organization for young people which was founded in England in 1891, and introduced to Newfoundland in 1892.
The aim of the C.L.B. is to bring together the youth of the community in an environment which promotes goodwill, discipline, self-respect, and genuine Christian character. This is achieved through the use of educational, physical and recreational activities, religious instruction and the symbolic use of a military structure. In over one hundred years of existence, the C.L.B. has found that this framework provides a strong sense of direction and fellowship.
